The official website and accounts for Ascendance of a Bookworm announced today that a sequel anime is in production at WIT Studio, continuing off from Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke with a TV adaptation of Part 4—titled "Founder of the Royal Academy's So-Called Library Committee"—of Miya Kazuki's original novel series. A release date was not confirmed at the time of reporting. Yoshiaki Iwasaki directed the most recent season of Ascendance of a Bookworm at WIT Studio, with Mariko Kunisawa handling series composition, Aiko Minowa providing the character designs and Michiru composing the music. All current seasons are streaming on Crunchyroll in a range of subs and dubs . J-Novel publishes the original Ascendance of a Bookworm light novels in English, and describes the first volume of Part 4 like so: Rozemyne awakens from her two-year sleep to a world that isn’t as she remembers it. The strange sensation fills her with unease, but she has no time to rest—she is soon to be enrolled in the Royal Academy as an archduke candidate, where she will be taught how to control her mana, make magic tools, and perform the magic needed to rule as an archduke.
