Baki Gaiden: Retsu Kaioh wa Isekai Tensei Shitemo Ikko ni Kamawan ( Baki Side Story: Retsu Kaioh Doesn't Mind Even If He Is Reincarnated Into Another World ), a spin-off manga of Keisuke Itagaki's Baki series, will receive a stage play adaptation next year. Under the title BAKI THE GRAPPLER STAGE Gaiden: Retsu Kaioh wa Isekai Tensei Shitemo Ikko ni Kamawan , the new stage play is scheduled to run at the OWLSPOT theater in Tokyo from March 19 to 22, 2027. The spin-off manga created by Sai Ihara (story) and Eiji Mutsui (art) is serialized in Akita Shoten's Monthly Shonen Champion magazine since November 2020, and 16 collected volumes have been released in Japan to date. The story centers on Retsu Kaioh, a master of Chinese martial arts and one of the most popular characters in the Baki series. In the fourth installment of the series, Baki-Dou , he dies in a fight with the master swordsman Musashi Miyamoto. However, in this manga, Retsu is reincarnated into another world after his death where magic exists, and embarks on a series of new battles. Riku Noma, who played Retsu Kaioh in the stage play adaptations of the original BAKI THE GRAPPLER STAGE series in 2024 and 2026, is confirmed to reprise his role.
