This season's offbeat anime adaptation of Chainsmoker Cat adds another catgirl to its ranks! Episode 4 marks the debut of Yomuko Kako, a.k.a "Jikaki Neko": a catgirl who dreams of becoming a professional novelist. The new character will be voiced by Niina Nakabayashi, who can also be heard as Wakana Tabata in A Hundred Scenes of AWAJIMA . A new preview has also dropped for the upcoming episode, giving us our first brief glimpse of Jikaki Neko in action: Chainsmoker Cat Episode 4 Preview Taku Kimura directs the  Chainsmoker Cat TV anime at Bibury Animation Studios, with scripts by Takashi Aoshima, character designs by Riki Matsuura and music by Keichi Suzuki. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes an English-language version of the manga, which has been running in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine since February 2023. Netflix streams Chainsmoker Cat as it airs, describing the series thus: Catgirl Yani struggles to pay her rent and keep a job while feeding her smoking habit.
