After Franz Ferdinand and Dawid Podsiadło embedded themselves into the soundscape of Night City in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners , it was officially announced today that "10:15 Saturday Night" by English rock band The Cure and "Watson" by French singer-songwriter Petite Meller will serve as the upcoming second series' opening and ending credit tracks, respectively. Set in the world of R. Talsorian Games' tabletop RPG and CD PROJEKT RED's Cyberpunk 2077 video game, the first iteration of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi ( Promare ) at studio TRIGGER and won Anime of the Year at the 2023 Anime Awards . Kai Ikarashi ( Little Witch Academia animation director) directs Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 at studio TRIGGER, with series composition by Masahiko Otsuka ( Promare ), character designs by Ichigo Kanno ( Delicious in Dungeon key animator) and music by Tsuneo Imahori ( Trigun ). The upcoming series, which will stream exclusively on Netflix in Fall 2026, is described like so: Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 pulls you back into Night City, where lives become entangled to the extreme. Weak, a washed-up cyberpunk legend, is now forced to live without chrome as he searches for a sense of purpose in a world that’s passed him by.
