Welcome to Daemons of the Shadow Realm and the recap for the thirteenth episode, “Daikyo and Shokyo.” In the previous episode, we learn that Asuma of the Kagemori clan is working with his uncle to potentially kidnap Yuru/win over Asa. Yuru and Asa ponder over the location of their grandmother and the strange goings-on that have occurred in trying to contact her. Dera asks his “shaman” Yama to go to Higashi Village to search for clues as to the whereabouts of his predecessor, but when Yama arrives, a man with two Daemon katanas named Ivan Yasano emerges and begins to slaughter the townsfolk. SPOILERS FOR Daemons of the Shadow Realm EPISODE 13 AHEAD Higashi Village Can’t Catch A Break After calling a spy that ensured that the shaman, Yama, made it to Higashi Village, Shingo orders Ivan Yasano to head there as well. After bickering with his Daemon katanas, the upstart Shokyo and the timid Daikyo, Ivan uses their powers to transport himself to the village. He creates a cube with them, enters it, and then the cube transforms into a replica of whatever person or thing he will be exiting out of. In this case, it’s Yama’s torso, something that disturbs even Shingo. Back at Dera and Hana’s apartment, Ken and Yuru are creating weapons when Dera surprises them with a new television. Yuru, Right and Left are extremely confused by it.
