Welcome to Daemons of the Shadow Realm and the recap for the sixteenth episode, “Kagemori and Shingo.” In the previous episode, Yuru, Dera, Right and Left formulated a plan of attack for getting the fake Asa and the hostage back from Ivan. But suddenly, Yuru was stolen away by one of Asuma’s Daemons. And Ivan is now preparing to do battle with and kill Left. In short, things look a little dicey! SPOILERS FOR Daemons of the Shadow Realm EPISODE 16 AHEAD Join Team Shingo Left approaches Ivan, remarking that he’s one of the few swordsmen left these days. She then dodges Ivan’s attacks and breaks one of his Daemon swords. But it heals itself! Then Ivan cuts off Left’s hand. And it doesn’t heal itself… because Right and Left are made of stone. Left tells Dera to take her to the home improvement store for an adhesive to attach her hand back on. Right then smells something distinct on the swords — the blood of Yuru’s parents, Mine and Nagisa! At Shingo’s hideout, Asuma asks Yuru if he’s ready to die and tells him that it would save them a lot of trouble if he just made a decision. Shingo tells Yuru that, considering all that’s happened, he has no place in the Higashi village anymore. So why not join the Shingo clan? Yuru refuses, as he can’t trust a clan that would capture hostages.
