This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Digimon Tamers anime series, and to commemorate the occasion, a brand new illustration was released featuring over 20 characters from the third entry in the Digimon franchise.  Digimon Tamers Anime 25th Anniversary Visual Digimon Tamers originally premiered in Japan on April 1, 2001, and ran for a full year. Yukio Kaizawa directed the series at Toei Animation with Chiaki J. Konaka writing the original pitch and the series composition.  The latest TV series in the  Digimon  franchise,  DIGIMON BEATBREAK , has been airing in Japan since October 5, 2025.  Crunchyroll streams  the anime and describes the series as such: Tomoro Tenma lives in a world where human thoughts and emotions—known as “e-Pulse”—power AI devices called Sapotama. But when Digimon begin materializing from Sapotama and feeding on e-Pulse, society begins to fracture. After Gekkomon appears from his device, Tomoro joins Glowing Dawn, a secret team investigating rogue Digimon and the dark truth of a system both fueled and corrupted by emotion.
