The official website for Fist of the North Star: Hokuto no Ken released a commemorative visual for its upcoming second cour. In the visual, Kenshiro, the successor of Hokuto Shinken, and Rei, a master of Nanto Suichoken, stand back to back, relying on each other. The second cour is scheduled to broadcast in 2027. Fist of the North Star: Hokuto no Ken Cour 2 Commemorative Visual The first cour of Fist of the North Star: Hokuto no Ken , the latest anime adaptation of Buronson and Tetsuo Hara's Fist of the North Star manga, aired on Japanese television and streamed on Prime Video worldwide for 14 episodes from April 10 to June 27, 2026. The original Fist of the North Star manga was serialized from 1983 to 1988 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. Buronson wrote and Tetsuo Hara illustrated the series, which was also released in 27 collected volumes. VIZ Media publishes an English-language version. The series has previously been adapted into numerous anime and video games, a 1995 live-action film (starring Gary Daniels), and even a musical stage play. Hiroshi Maeda directs the newest anime adaptation at animation studio TMS Entertainment, with series composition by Kazuhiko Inukai, character designs by Naoki Hisatsune, assistant direction by Kazuma Ogasawara, animation direction by Koji and music by Yuki Hayashi.
