A teaser trailer and visual were unveiled for the previously announced TV anime adaptation of Kyoko Hikawa's From Far Away manga today, revealing an October 4 premiere date for Japanese television, main cast and production staff details. Tomoyo Kurosawa and Kentaro Kumagai lead the fantasy shojo series as Noriko and Izark, respectively, joined by Yuichiro Umehara as Rachef and Eiji Takeuchi as Keimos. Kyoko Hikawa's From Far Away manga was serialized in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume Comics imprint from September 1991 to October 2002, and was collected into 14 volumes that have over 4 million copies in circulation. Viz Media publishes an official English version and describes the story: On her way home from school one day, Noriko is unexpectedly plunged into a strange and extraordinary fantasy world.
