An official website and X (formerly Twitter) account opened today to announce that a TV anime adaptation of Damu Amato and Shirabii's Heir to a Monstermancer light novel series is in production. A release date was not confirmed at the time of reporting. Manaka Iwami (Akane in [OSHI NO KO] ) leads the cast as Leen, a young lady with the rare ability to tame any and all monsters, alongside Chiaki Kobayashi as Hakura (Nakamura in Go For It, Nakamura-kun!! ) and Akio Otsuka (Dimple in Mob Psycho 100 ) as Ao. Heir to a Monstermancer Anime Teaser Visual Chihiro Kumano ( The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 2 ) directs the Heir to a Monstermancer anime at studio project No.9, alongside Satoshi Sugisawa ( Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective ) as series composer and Akane Kasasagi as character designer ( The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife ). J-Novel Club publishes the original light novels in English and describes the story: Veteran adventurer Hakura has overcome countless trials, but his latest fight with a deadly hydra nearly costs him his life. In the nick of time, he is saved by an intriguing young lady named Leen, who, to his surprise, possesses the rare ability to tame any and all monsters! Now indebted to this unscrupulous monstermancer, Hakura decides to join her in her travels, the two of them arguing and bickering every step of the way.
