As of the second episode, the Hono no Tokyujo: Dodge Danko anime has the voices of two previous generations in the mix. The latest cast members to join the anime are Noriko Hidaka and Misato Fukuen, who respectively voice Danko Ichigeki’s mother, Misato Ichigeki, and grandmother, Haruka Ichigeki. The 1991 Hono no Tokyuji: Dodge Danpei anime, which adapted Tetsuhiro Koshita’s original manga, had Noriko Hidaka in the lead as the voice of Danpei. In addition to voicing Danko’s mother, Hidaka returns to voice Danpei in flashback sequences and provides narration for Dodge Danko . Original manga author Tetsuhiro Koshita illustrated the image above to celebrate the pair’s debut.
