The official X account for the TV anime adaptation of Yoshio Nakae and Noriko Ueno's Little Mouse's Red Vest (known in Japan as Nezumi-kun no Chokki ) picture book series today revealed that a second season is in production and will begin airing on October 3 in Japan. Kenjiro Tsuda and Mamiko Noto will reprise their roles. POPLAR Publishing, Inc. began releasing the Little Mouse's Red Vest series in 1974, and the series has more than 5 million copies in circulation in Japan and over 16 million internationally to date. The anime's first season aired for 13 episodes between April and June earlier this year. Nobuyoshi Habara ( My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s ) served as director at studio Creadom8, with Kanemori Yasuda alongside as character designer and CG director.
