The official website for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto's Look Back manga released a main trailer and two new poster visuals today. This film, directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda, known for directing Shoplifters in 2018, is scheduled to release in Japan on September 11, 2026 . The newly announced cast members include: Akari Fujino (Fujino's mother) Played by Kayo Noro Hitoshi Fujino (Fujino's father) played by Ryo Ikeda Megumi Fujino (Fujino's older sister) played by Miyu Sasaki Manabe (Fujino's junior high school teacher) played by Maho Yamada Tamai (Fujino and Kyomoto's elementary school teacher) played by Kankuro Kudo Maeda (Weekly Shonen Jump editor) played by Masaki Suda Suda commented on his role, "My first time working with Director Kore-eda — and on Look Back! I kept wondering, ‘Was my character inspired by that person?’ ‘Was the set modeled on that actual manga editorial office?’ The entire shoot was filled with excitement." Additionally, the site confirmed the film's runtime of 99 minutes.
