Action/fantasy donghua Paws & Palaces (released in China as Zi Jin: Yu Miao Fang ) has a Japanese dub on the way this fall! The series will be released in Japan starting October 2026. A teaser trailer, visual and main cast list have also been revealed. The donghua originally streamed from December 2025 to March 2026 for a total of 16 episodes. The story of Paws & Palaces follows six cats who live in the Forbidden City in China, one of the world's oldest palaces. Unbeknownst to the thousands of tourists who visit the palace every day, these cats have a special mission: entering the wuhua (inner worlds) of the palace's many treasures to protect them from a demonic entity known as the Black Owl.
