Nintendo revealed big plans for the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass during its June 2026 Direct presentation, and now the first part has a release date. The paid Expansion Pass—Part 1: Bubbly Basin launches on August 5 alongside a free update that introduces Mythical Water-type Pokémon Manaphy and the Dive move.  You can see some of what’s in store for the underwater town of Bubbly Basin in the extended Expansion Pass trailer below. Pokémon Pokopia Extended Expansion Pass Trailer As shared in the Pokémon Company’s press release, the DLC lets you use buoyant blocks to build on the ocean floor and use the Generate ability to power underwater streetlights and bubble machines. Pokémon with the Water specialty can also help you grow watermelons, and you’ll learn how to build a Sharpedo submarine. Pokémon Pokopia is currently available on Nintendo Switch 2.
