2026 marks the fifth anniversary of Tomoki Misato's stop-motion animated series Pui Pui Molcar , and August 10 is the birthday of series regular Choco. The double-occasion brings with it news of an upcoming special, including a teaser trailer and visual! The teaser trailer follows lead Molcar Potato down an Alice in Wonderland -esque rabbit hole as he chases down a rabbit... or, rather, the carrot the rabbit is holding. As he falls, we see one of Choco's iconic flowers. More information will be forthcoming. Pui Pui Molcar premiered in 2021 as a series of two-minute shorts on the children's program Kinder TV. The series quickly gained an international following, leading to it streaming on Netflix. Since then, the project has grown into two TV seasons, two films (one compilation and one original 3DCG) and a video game. The series follows a group of sentient guinea pig/car hybrids known as Molcars as they hunt down delicious veggies and look after their tiny human drivers.
