The official YouTube channel for Japanese rock band Nakigoto started streaming the collaboration music video for "204 gousitsu" ( Room 204 ), the ending theme for the TV anime Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 5. "204 gousitsu" is the band's second anime tie-in song, following "Mugen Trip," the ending theme for the TV anime A Gatherer's Adventure in Isekai in 2025. As Nakigoto's first major CD single, "204 gousitsu" was released by Epic Records Japan, an internal label of Sony Music Labels, on May 20, 2026. The band shared the following comment about the song on the anime's official website : I believe that the desire to protect someone is something very precious. When we say "protect," it is easy to imagine not wanting to see someone cry or get hurt, but I feel that wanting them to keep smiling is also a form of that desire to protect. This work made me realize that wanting to protect someone might be the greatest form of love.
