Following the web drama series that premiered this past April, a live-action feature film adaptation of Shohei Manabe's legal drama manga Sins of Kujo (known as Kujo no Taizai in Japan) is scheduled for release in Japan on January 8, 2027 . The film's official website and X (formerly Twitter) account launched today, revealing a teaser trailer and visual. Sins of Kujo Live-Action Feature Film Teaser Trailer, Visual Manabe's original Sins of Kujo manga has been serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits seinen manga magazine since October 2020, with 16 collected volumes released to date. The series has surpassed 5 million copies in circulation. The 10-episode live-action web drama series released on Netflix on April 2, 2026. The two lead actor of the web drama, Yuya Yagira (Toshiro Hijikata in the Gintama live-action series) and Hokuto Matsumura (a member of the idol group SixTONES), are confirmed to reprise their roles as the protagonist Taiza Kujo and his associate lawyer Shinji Karasuma, respectively. Additionally, the other cast members from the drama series, including Elaiza Ikeda, Keita Machida, Takuma Otoo, and Tsuyoshi Muro, have also reunited for the film. The director and screenwriter will be Yasuhiro Doi and Nonji Nemoto, the same as in the drama series.
