The 2026 nominees for the Television Academy's Emmy Awards were officially announced today, and animated anthology series Star Wars: Visions was once again nominated for its third volume, this time in the Outstanding Animated Program category for "BLACK." The psychedelic, dialogue-less episode was produced by studio David Production under the direction of Shinya Ohira. "Grand Pre Pre Pre Opening" from Bob's Burgers , "There's Something About Morty" from Rick and Morty , "Homer? A Cracker Bro?" from The Simpsons , "Le Voyage Incroyable De Monsieur Grenouille" from Smiling Friends and "Sermon On The 'Mount" from South Park are also nominated. Star Wars: Visions was previously nominated for "The Duel" in the Outstanding Short Form Animated Program category in 2022 and Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for "Screecher's Reach" in 2024. The first volume of Star Wars: Visions premiered on September 22, 2021, featuring shorts from Japanese anime studios Kamikaze Doga, Studio Colorido, TRIGGER, Kinema Citrus, Production I.G, Science SARU and Geno Studio.
