It's going to be a big few days for Super Robot Wars fans! Warm up your game systems, because Super Robot Wars Y is about to get dozens of new missions, including two free celebratory missions. Plus, a classic installment in the giant robot game series will be getting a remaster. First, prepare for the free update coming August 4. Version 1.4.0 will come with two new missions. "CONGRATULATION 20000000!" celebrates 20 million units sold, while "CONGRATULATION 35th!" honors the 35th anniversary of the franchise. Both missions will be playable after clearing Chapter 2 of the main story. The new update also increases the level cap to 200 and introduces BOOST mode: a new mode that doubles experience, credits and MXP earned while halving the cost of pilot training, upgrades and items. Enemy strength will remain the same. BOOST mode is designed to assist in early-stage upgrades, whether you're a new player or starting over from scratch. Then, on August 5, the special Anniversary Expansion Pack goes live! The DLC pack will include 33 additional area missions (25 main and 8 frontline), seven new combined attacks, five new normal attacks, five additional player units, one additional assist crew and a bonus mission.
