This season, anime studio Science SARU heads up two big-hitter anime: Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia and the latest iteration of THE GHOST IN THE SHELL . Today, worlds collide in a new collab visual, featuring a crossover between the two shows. The art, penned by Jaadugar director Abel Góngora, depicts a Fuchikoma offering a flower to Sitara: The original Ghost in the Shell manga was serialized from April 1989 to November 1990 in Kodansha's Young Magazine seinen manga publication. Kodansha USA publishes an English-language version of the series. Moko-chan ( DAN DA DAN assistant director) directs THE GHOST IN THE SHELL anime at studio Science SARU, with series composition and scripts by To Enjo ( Godzilla Singular Point ), character designs and chief animation direction by Shuhei Handa ( Scott Pilgrim Takes Off ) and music by Taisei Iwasaki ( Metallic Rouge ), Ryo Konishi and YUKI KANESAKA ( Dr. STONE ). Iwasaki is also credited as music director. The series’ official website describes the story as such: The year is 2029. In near-future Japan, where the world has become highly information-intensive, with a vast corporate network covering the planet, electrons and light pulsing through it. But the nation-state and ethnic groups still survive. Motoko Kusanagi, a full-body cyborg, leads an elite combat unit, including Batou.
