During its Anime Expo 2026 panel, North American publisher Inklore announced plans to release Tomoko Yamashita’s Ikoku Nikki manga in English. The source material for winter 2026 anime Journal with Witch will be available starting in summer 2027. Yamashita prepared a statement for the announcement, saying, “I am so happy to announce the English-language version of Ikoku Nikki! I am delighted and excited that this story, which I poured my heart into creating, will now reach even more people.”  Ikoku Nikki Manga by Tomoko Yamashita Summer 2027 Ikoku Nikki was nominated for the Manga Taisho Award and Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize. The anime adaptation won the 63rd Galaxy Award Encouragement Prize and Galaxy Monthly Award - TV Category in March 2026, and it’s currently available to stream on Crunchyroll .
