August 1 is a big day for Undead Unluck fans. In the world of Yoshifumi Tozuka's hit manga, it's the exact date when protagonists Andy and Fuuko had their fateful meeting! To celebrate the occasion, the anime adaptation's official social media has shared a new image, reconfirming the approach of the anime's second season. The new visual, featuring Fuuko hard at work on key frames as Andy watches, was penned by Eita Toyoshima, who served as animation director for three episodes of Season 1. More information on the upcoming season will be available at a later date. Shueisha published the original Undead Unluck manga by Yoshifumi Tozuka from January 2020 to January 2025 in their Weekly Shonen Jump manga magazine, and the series was collected in 27 volumes. Hulu streams the Undead Unluck TV anime in the United States. VIZ Media publishes an English language version of the manga, and describes Undead Unluck : Tired of inadvertently killing people with her special ability Unluck, Fuuko Izumo sets out to end it all. But when she meets Andy, a man who longs for death but can’t die, she finds a reason to live—and he finds someone capable of giving him the death he’s been longing for.
