The official website for the five-member voice actor idol unit i☆Ris announced on October 11 that they will conclude their activities at the end of 2027. The statement from the i☆Ris staff reads: "Following our 10th anniversary in 2022, as we reflected on the future of both the group and each individual member, we have held repeated discussions with all members and staff since last year. Ultimately, we have reached the decision to conclude i☆Ris's activities at the end of 2027, which marks our 15th anniversary. As members of the voice actor idol group i☆Ris, the time the five memebrs can spend with everyone is limited, but with hearts full of gratitude, we will keep running right until the end, staying true to the spirit of i☆Ris." i☆Ris was formed by the six winners of the 1st Anison Vocal Audition held by avex and 81 Produce in August 2012, and then released their first single "Color" on November 7 of that year. After one of its founding members, Azuki Shibuya, left the unit at the end of March 2021, they have been working as a five-member unit consisting of Himika Akaneya, Yu Serizawa, Miyu Kubota, Saki Yamakita, and Yuki Wakai. They are widely known for playing the main cast and performing the theme songs in the PriPara TV anime series, which began broadcasting in 2014, and to date, they have released 27 singles and 5 original albums.
