The official website for the upcoming Japanese-French anime feature film We Are Aliens ( Wareware wa Uchuujin in Japanese) released its main trailer and key visual today. The trailer also introduces the theme song "Sasakure" ( Hangnail ) for the first time. The song was written and composed by Yaffle, who worked on the music for the film, and is performed by adieu (Moka Kamishiraishi). The film is set for release in Japan on September 25, 2026 . We Are Aliens Main Trailer and Visual adieu artist photo In addition to Ryota Bando and Amane Okayama, who play the two main characters, Tsubasa and Akitaro, Ten Yamasaki (idol group Sakurazaka46 member) and Kemuri Matsui (comedy duo Reiwa Roman member) are confirmed to make a voice appearance in the film. Yamasaki plays the role of Konatsu, the classmate who lives closest to Tsubasa, while Matsui plays the role of Batahira, one of Tsubasa's friends. Animation artist Kohei Kadowaki serves as the planner, screenwriter, and director for We Are Aliens . One of his best-known works is the music video for YOASOBI's eighth digital single "Comet" (the ending theme for the TV anime BEASTARS Season 2 ). Ryota Bando (Ryo Sobue in Fureu ) plays the protagonist Tsubasa, a shy boy who struggles with being ordinary. Amane Okayama (Shunji Tamada in BLUE GIANT ) plays the other protagonist, Akitaro, who is a popular student in class.
