It's a big year for manga artist Kocha Agasawa, as two of her titles get their own anime! Just as The Ramparts of Ice wraps its first season, the second season of You and I Are Polar Opposites prepares to kick off. To celebrate, the heroines of both series perform a "baton pass" in a new piece of collab art. Check it out above, as Koyuki hands off the baton to Suzuki for her much-anticipated second season. Mankyu ( The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague ) directs The Ramparts of Ice anime at Studio KAI, with series composition by Yasuhiro Nakanishi ( A Star Brighter Than the Sun ), character designs by Miki Ogino ( Josee, the Tiger and the Fish animation director) and music by Natsumi Tabuchi and Kanade Sakuma. The series premiered on Japanese television on April 2 and on Netflix on April 3, and a second season is scheduled to premiere on October 1. Takakazu Nagatomo ( SHOSHIMIN: How to become Ordinary episode director) directs the You and I Are Polar Opposites anime at studio Lapin Track, with series composition by Teruko Utsumi ( Sarazanmai ), character designs by Mako Miyako and music by tofubeats ( The Concierge ). Kocha Agasawa created the original manga.
